Enrichment Activities:
STEAM Challenges
STEAM combines the skills and knowledge of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. During these challenges, children are given a brief from which to design, make, test and improve their own products.
Beach School
You’ve heard of Forest School, so why not try Beach School! Weston Bay provides an excellent environment for children to explore, create and discover the world around them. Beach school can be run as a one-off experience or more regular sessions.
Life Skills Workshops
Children are often fascinated by how their learning links to later life, and by what the next stage of their lives might look like.
These workshops could include academic pathways, financial management and more (depending on your needs).
Sustainability Workshops
The topic of sustainability currently sits at the forefront of social and political discussion. Encompassing areas such as pollution, energy and climate change, these workshops can either focus on one area in more depth or else a wider range of topics.
Study Skills Seminars
Preparing for exams is often stressful and overwhelming, particularly when students aren't sure how to revise effectively. These seminars are designed to support students with their preparation, from exam techniques to revision strategies.
Tennis Coaching
Whether children are new to the sport, or are looking to build on existing skills and experiences, receive tennis coaching from an LTA Level 2 Instructor and qualified teacher (court booking fees may apply as an additional cost).
Local Geography Study
Weston-super-Mare is an excellent location to visit and learn about a variety of elements of both physical and human geography, including: coasts, tourism and changing places. We can also do on-site studies, focusing on or around your school/premises.
Creative Writing Workshops
Whether children enjoy writing their own novels or picture books, or are looking for extra help in preparing for their GCSEs, let their imagination shine through as they write their own stories, with the added benefit of teacher support throughout the process.
Safeguarding Training
Whether your looking for more informal training adapted to your venue and activities, or else want to receive certified Ofqual regulate Level 1 (age 14+) or Level 3 (age 18+) safeguarding training (a certification fee may apply for Ofqual courses ~£7pp).
