Meet Stephie:
Hello, my name is Stephie and I'm the owner and founder of the Weston Learning Zone.

Having grown up in a family of educators, I have a passion for helping young people, not only to learn, but to enjoy learning! Between us, my family and I have a long history of teaching in Weston-super-Mare, with at least one of my relatives working in a local school since 1965.

Having myself been taught across various settings - state school, private school, home education - as well as having been the teacher in a diverse range school settings, I have developed a strong ethos in regards to the best methods of teaching the next generation. This is the ethos that I am embedding into my work at the Weston Learning Zone; that children learn best when they are intrinsically motivated - when they enjoy learning and can see the benefits that learning brings to their lives!
This is my westie, Emmy. She is very friendly, but her favourite thing is definitely food! I like to call Emmy my 'puppy', but she's actually a quite relaxed, grown up dog. Emmy often likes to join me at the Weston Learning Zone, mostly she has a good sleep but she does appreciate it when somebody gives her a stroke.
My Experience:
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with over seven years of experience in tutoring at levels up to GCSE. To date, I have tutored over 40 students spanning twelve year groups and eight qualification subjects. Below are a selection of the qualifications and certifications which I have achieved, and which are relevant to the services provided at the Weston Learning Zone:
